Cecauto was created to meet the needs of a group of spare parts stores that saw how the important growth of the car fleet forced them to individually make significant investments if they wanted to remain competitive.
In order to overcome the challenge posed by the changes that were taking place in the market, the founding stores decided to create a company with a good logistic service, and in which to centrally store the references of products they needed. The first warehouse of 1,000 m2 was inaugurated in February of 1987 in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona).
The business concept was successfully developed, and in a short time a large number of spare parts stores, wanting to access and benefit from the large stock and excellent services offered by Cecauto, joined the project.
After the success achieved with the first warehouse, the company management decided to extend this model across the country, creating new warehouses in the main provincial capitals.
As the interest from stores and workshops grew for the services and advantages offered by Cecauto, new regulatory warehouses were opened, until reaching the nine that we currently have.
But the most important part of Cecauto’s history is yet to be written. Our network of associated stores, as well as the number of flagship workshops, grows year after year, adding more than a thousand Cecauto points in Spain.
